There's an antiwar meeting Monday, 8/23 at the AFSC at 6:30 pm sponsored by PAW, UFPJ and PRAWN 

 

There's a full fall ahead of us with the AFL-CIO jobs march on Oct 2, the teach-in organized by Tom Cronin and other folks, the counter-demos against the Tea Party on August 28 in DC and September 11 in NYC and the fundraiser for the next Flotilla here in Philly on September 10.

 

I'm sure I missed something, let me know. 

 

One subject for discussion and action on Monday is the plan for an antiwar action on October 16 here in Philadelphia. We'll discuss the character and overall theme of the action and kick off the organizing. This demonstration is in the spirit of the United Antiwar Conference Action Plan which called for local/regional October actions to begin building for an April 9th national mobilization in New York and San Francisco.
